As part of our Global Citizenship curriculum, the children at Lawn learn about many aspects of the world relating to diversity, inclusion, equality and belonging. Topics challenge stereotypes, consider rights, make links to the United Nations and teach our pupils how to be good citizens while learning about the world. Our school also celebrates the numerous languages, various heritages and religions - as we did last Friday through our Diversity Day. It was wonderful to see all the children attend school dressed 'as them', ranging from club uniforms, traditional dress, favourite items and people they support or admire. There was a true sense of belonging and it spoke volumes that all our children felt safe and secure enough to be who they are while celebrating our 'unique' self. Pupils created posters and power point presentations and even voice notes and interviews. #individual liberty #tolerance #respect
