There are a range of languages spoken by families within the Lawn community. Whilst we do not have a high proportion of children who are new to English, we very much value those who come to our school in the early stages of their language development. Our team of teachers and teaching assistants are well prepared to provide them with the bespoke quality first teaching necessary to make accelerated progress with their language development.

Along with a range or formative assessment strategies, we use the assessment materials from the Bells Foundation for summative assessment of language proficiency.
