Area of learning: Understanding the World

Whilst there is no specific expectation to teach computing explicitly within the curriculum for EYFS, children are introduced to different ways of using digital technology safely. Some examples of activities are as follows: 

- Digital art using the interactive whiteboard and iPads.

- Coding using Beebots. 

- Audio recording using Talking Tins.

- Use of iPads to take photos and videos. 

iPads are incorporated into continuous and enhanced provision periodically when appropriate to the learning.
