    Tue 13 Feb 2024 KHambleton

As part of the Parliaments work on all things ECO, the parliament reps visited Viola to learn about the company and the positive impact it is having on local communities. It was really interesting to learn how the plant worked but also the values within the company - something many of us take for granted. #globalcitizenship #responsibility

  • Spanish Club

    Thu 08 Feb 2024 KHambleton

The children at Lawn really demonstrate a love of language - many pupils referring to themselves as speaking more than one language and having a transferred interest in other languages such as French and German. Spanish Club has been running for a while and is a huge success with children attending both during their lunch time and after school. The fact that our children can not only speak but also write shows how much interest there is and how and why they value the lessons. #globalcitizens

Our ECO bugs are hard at it.....as always. As a school we are busy recycling crisp packets, pens, white board pens, batteries, plastics, clothing - the list continually grows! It is lovely to see so many pupils at Lawn taking this agenda seriously. We are currently working on food waste, with the children making very sensible decisions about how to reduce waste - and it is already having a positive impact! #responsibility #creativity #teamwork #initiative

Transform Trust Parliament is just one way that we develop pupil leadership at Lawn. The parliament representatives can collaborate with other children across the trust to have a voice and make positive changes within their schools. This year the focus is the ECO Agenda - a topic close to our heart at Lawn. Seb and Ava are doing a sterling job - so mature and articulate. #responisibility #integrity #teamwork #initiative

  • Our children are loving being part of Forest School!

    Thu 08 Feb 2024 KHambleton

The word in the community is that our children are loving being part of Forest School, delivered by our own trained staff at school. A lot of planning goes into this curriculum provision, from training to planning, to resourcing to risk assessments and policies. The children have developed in resilience and confidence and for some children who maybe find more traditional classroom learning harder - they have blossomed and shone. A truly inclusive experience. Thank you tom our parents and PTFA in supporting this. Take a look at our Forest School newsletter for more information.
