Autumn

Linking with their ‘Marvellous Me’ topic, children will use a variety of building / construction materials to recreate buildings, e.g. their houses.

Spring

Linking with their ‘Explorers’ topic, children will create moon buggies, space rockets and boats using a variety of building / construction materials and junk modelling.

Summer

Linking with their ‘Castles’ topics, children will build their own castle using a variety of building / construction materials and junk modelling.

Continuous provision – Access to a range of building materials throughout the year. In the outdoor area they have large building blocks, crates, tyres and natural materials which they use to create and build a variety of objects. In the indoor areas, the children have a variety of building materials including ‘block play’.
