  • PCSO visit - discussing the dangers of knife crime

Sun 19 Nov 2023 Karen Hambleton

Our local PCSO is always at hand to give our children useful and relevant information at an age appropriate level on topics that educate our children and teach them how to keep safe. This week Year 6 had a session on knife crime, its dangers and how we can make good choices. These sessions are always very informative - it is crucial we ensure our young adults have the tools they need for the next stage in their lives.

The school and class parliament always make the decisions regarding who we support through special events and charitable donations. Children in Need is always a firm favourite! As always the children pulled out all the stops. What a wonderful atmosphere as the children 'strutted' down the 'catwalk' in their Pudsey creations. Well done to our winners...but ultimately the children they we will have helped makes us all winners.

A huge thank you to our local PCS) and police how came to talk to our oldest children about County Lines and how to keep themselves safe. We are so grateful for the positive relationship we have with our PCSO.

  • Our Early Years setting

Sun 19 Nov 2023 Karen Hambleton

We have thoroughly enjoyed having our potential prospective parents visit our school over the last few weeks. The tour is delivered by children who have leadership responsibilities and the response has been overwhelming - being described as a credit to the school and themselves, hugely articulate and incredibly mature. I could not agree more! Take a look at our Early Years...

  • International Languages Day

Sun 19 Nov 2023 Karen Hambleton

The children's love of languages blossomed today, experiencing visitors of various linguistic backgrounds sharing their love....Welsh stories to Italian songs, sign languages and our first 'Learn with your child' Spanish sessions. The number of children attending Spanish Club is also a testament as to how much our children enjoy languages at Lawn.
