Autumn

Linking to their ‘Marvellous Me’ topic, children discuss where they live and look at maps of the local area. They talk about what a map is – drawing maps of the classroom, routes to school and treasure maps. For more information please refer to the EYFS curriculum document. 

Spring

Linking to their ‘Explorers’ topic, children explore animals that live in cold places, jungle, British woodlands and under the sea. Children will use world maps and globes to locate different countries. For more information please refer to the EYFS curriculum document.
