Attendance Rewards

We place great importance on good attendance and punctuality here at Lawn Primary School and strive for the best attendance possible. We expect all children to have at least 96% attendance across the year.

We know that a child’s attendance has a direct impact on their learning. Those children who are regularly absent from school and are regularly late do not achieve their potential and do fall behind in class, therefore we celebrate good attendance in a wide variety of ways and offer class and individual prizes for good attendance during the school year.

From September this year we will be reporting on the attendance for each class in the table below.

Attendance Rewards

If your child has 100% attendance during the autumn term they will receive a certificate and bronze badge to wear. If they continue to be here 100% during the spring term they will be awarded a silver badge and then during the summer term a gold badge. Each term they will be entered into a prize draw to win a special prize.

Class Attendance Rewards

From October we will be rewarding the classes with the best attendance each week in our celebration assembly on a Thursday. The classes will be given a certificate and a Trophy (KS2) or Albert the Attendance Bear (KS1). There will also be a yearly award for the class with the best attendance during the year.

These are yearly attendance figures for 2018-2019

Our whole school attendance is 97.3% for the last three terms.
